A Passion For Endurance, and Sweets

My passion for endurance sports has always fueled my drive in the professional world. The same discipline, focus, and resilience required to compete at a high level in sport have become core to how I approach engineering challenges and lead complex projects. In recent years, I’ve completed a 100km ultramarathon, competed in the 70.3 Ironman World Championship in New Zealand in 2024, and finished the 2025 Boston Marathon in 178th place out of nearly 30,000 runners. Now, I'm preparing for my first 100-mile ultramarathon—a new test of mental and physical endurance. These experiences sharpen my ability to perform under pressure, stay adaptive, and maintain a long-term mindset—skills that directly translate to building sustainable, high-performing teams and systems in my professional life.

Van Conversion

Converted an empty cargo van into an off-grid RV. From SolidWorks model to reality, from electrical and plumbing to wood working, all self designed and built.

Triathlon

Throughout my time at college I fell more and more in love with the sport and community of triathlon. With seven full Ironman finishes, including two at the Ironman World Championship in Kona HI (2018, 2022), and two further qualifications for Half Ironman World Championships (2016, 2020) I have been able to successfully balance my academic, and now work life with my training to lead a well-balanced life.
